Loving Summer

It's summer time again, and I find myself with a plethora of unstructured time on my hands.

Naturally, I turn to blogging.

Maybe this time it will stick.

Or not.

Only time will tell....

Any-hoo, here are Things That Have Happened since my last entry at my other blog:

  • A massive F5 tornado ripped through my town, two blocks from my house, on the day of our Kindergarten Graduation. I'm still not completely over it.
  • My classroom was flooded during the final stages of my school renovation. I lost over $4,000 worth of books, but my classroom library is well on it's way to recovery.
  • I had the worst year ever and almost quit teaching. I have a wonderful best friend (who also happens to be a teacher) that talked me off the cliff.
  • I started a master's program three weeks ago, and will graduate with a M.Ed in a year. I'm loving my class so far, and hope to use this degree to advocate for early childhood everywhere.
As you can see, I've hit a bit of a rough patch here recently. But, I think the worst of it is behind me. I'm healing and looking forward to a fresh start.
